About me

woman standing on a beach in sweden

Hello,

I’m Julia, a digital nomad with my home base in Sweden. As you might have figured out, I am interested in traveling, but also photography, writing, and digital marketing. In this travel blog, and its associated Instagram, I share my best travel tips with the intention of inspiring you and making your next trip a little easier.

I run my own business as a web designer and digital marketer and, as long as I have my laptop, I can work from anywhere. I love staying in one place for a longer period of time. I started this blog to tell stories and share insights from destinations around the world. My basic idea is to share the knowledge I wish I knew before going to a certain place. Don’t be surprised if you see tips and tricks on social media and digital marketing, because that inspires me too.

Frequently asked questions

How do you manage to travel the world?

Since 2020 I run my own business as a digital marketer and web developer. This means I can work from anywhere, as long as I have my laptop and good wi-fi. Even though I have my home base in Sweden, I take advantage of the flexibility that my job offers and travel as much as my energy level (and wallet) can handle.

What camera gear do you use?

90 % of my photos are taken with my Sony A6300, with either my 16-50mm lens or my 50mm lens.

For drone photos and videos I use my DJI Air 2S. The majority of my Instagram reels are filmed with my iPhone 13.

How do you edit your photos?

I always take photos in RAW, which is a photo format that captures uncompressed data from the camera sensor. RAW files contain a wider dynamic range and far greater color spectrum than JPEGs.

I then edit my photos using Lightroom for desktop. If I’m editing iPhone photos I normally use the Lightroom app.

In Lightroom, I use my own pre-made filters, called presets. Using presets helps me create a cohesive feed + reduces the time I spend editing.
