5 x Delicious Breakfasts to Eat in London

Best breakfast in London – where is that? As big as London is, there are plenty of good options for breakfast. But if you are a breakfast-lover like me, you don’t want to settle for “good”. From beautiful smoothie bowls to pancakes that are dripping with syrup – I have listed 5 delicious (and highly Instagrammable) breakfast places in London that you don’t want to miss.

Beany Green

Beany Green is a part of Daisy Green Food that owns a lot of different cafés around London. Beany Green is located in Little Venice, just around the corner from Paddington Station.

Beany Green serves breakfast all day everyday. Why not try their award winning banana bread sandwich, buttermilk blueberry pancakes or smashed avocado sandwich? (Or all three?) If you don’t feel like a breakfast dish is enough for you, you should try their bottomless brunch. For 39 pounds you get 1 savory and 1 sweet dish, including free flowing prosecco and mimosas.

Yummy points: 5/5
Vegetarian-friendly: Yes, with some vegan options
I recommend: Buttermilk blueberry pancakes
Price: A breakfast dish for around 10 pounds
Opening hours: They open 7:30 am on weekdays, and 8 am on weekends

Granger and Co.

This Australian café is everything I’m looking for in a breakfast: sunny, easy-going and generous. With several locations around London, Granger and Co. is breakfast heaven. They are famous for their ricotta hotcakes, but I think it’s safe to say that everything on their menu will be beyond expectation.

I was especially blown away by their avocado toast with lime and coriander, but their fresh fruit bowl is not far behind.

Note: Granger and Co. don’t take any reservations. Be there on time to make sure you get a seat. Don’t be scared by the line outside, it’s totally normal.

Yummy points: 5/5
Vegetarian-friendly: Yes, with some vegan options
I recommend: St John’s toasted rye, avocado, lime and coriander
Price: A breakfast dish for 7–14 pounds
Opening hours: They open 7 am on weekdays, and 8 am on weekends
Instagram: @grangerandco

Find it on Google maps (their Notting Hill location) or see their menu here.

Where the pancakes are

If you are into pancakes, this is the place for you! Where the pancakes are is located near London Bridge and Borough Market. They serve delicious pancakes all day long. I suggest you combine your breakfast at Where the pancakes are with a stroll around southern London.

Yummy points: 3/5
Vegetarian-friendly: Yes, with some vegan options
I recommend: Buttermilk blueberry pancakes
Price: A breakfast dish for around 10 pounds
Opening hours: They open 7:30 am on weekdays, and 8 am on weekends

Farm Girl

Located in the middle of Notting Hill, Farm Girl is the breakfast spot you didn’t know you needed to visit. There’s a friendly neighbourhood feel to this hipster and vegan-friendly café. Make sure to drink their highly Instagrammable lattes that come in green, blue or pink.

Farm Girl is so popular they actually opened up four more places around London, but Farm Girl Notting Hill is the original café.

Yummy points: 4/5
Vegetarian-friendly: Yes, with several vegan options
I recommend: Hibiscus Porridge
Price: A breakfast dish for around 7.5 pounds
Opening hours: Breakfast is served from 9 am to 11 am

Duck & Waffle

Duck & Waffle – the queen of breakfasts! Located at the 40th floor of Heron Tower, near Liverpool Street, lies this must-visit restaurant. With views stretching out over London, Duck & Waffle has become a widely popular place for a luxurious meal. The restaurant is open 24/7, but their outstanding breakfast is served from 6 am to 11.30 am.

Yummy points: 5/5
Vegetarian-friendly: Yes, but not many vegan dishes
I recommend: Their porridge and their sweet caramelised banana waffle
Price: Their breakfast dishes cost 7–20 pounds
Opening hours: Breakfast is served from 6 am to 11.30 am
